It's lights, camera and (responsibly social-distanced) action for The Milky Way Drive-In this weekend. 

A big screen drive-in experience finally within Brew City's borders, The Milky Way will roll film on its inaugural summer season on Friday, May 22, at the Ballpark Commons in Franklin, with the animated adventure "Abominable" and the action blockbuster "Hobbs & Shaw" as the first two options, plus a rotation of more than a dozen movies – from family favorites to recent explosive action films and even some edgier material for late-night adult crowds – over the following week and beyond.

Tickets for a single screening will cost $35 per car, with the amount of people inside not allowed to exceed the amount of seatbelts. Tickets can be purchased at the drive-in's website, while at The Milky Way itself, you can buy food, snacks, drinks and more from either the ballpark's concessions stands or from partner food trucks via app and delivered by a carhop. And as for hearing your movie, The Milky Way offers outdoor speakers, FM radio frequency or the Listen Everywhere app.

"The Milky Way Drive-In offers a terrific food-and-entertainment ‘night out’ experience in a safe environment."
