Writer, performer and entrepreneur Dasha Kelly Hamilton and her husband, DJ and artist Kima Hamilton, will open The Retreat, 2215 N. Martin Luther King Dr.

The concept is described by Hamilton as "ideal for mission-driven events, team visioning and personal reimagining."

The main floor will provide space for brainstorm sessions, catered luncheons, live music, board trainings, author readings, podcast recording, open mics, private receptions and more.

"To guests and neighbors, we will also offer high-end coffee, loose-leaf tea, beer, wine and natural sodas," says Hamilton.

The lower level will feature "Woosah Rooms," which are decompression spaces for patrons to throw plates, glasses and vases, smash things with a hammer and toss paint balloons.

The opening is scheduled for March. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more information and a First Look.
