Thief Wine, 4512 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood, announced today via Facebook that the business would close at the end of day on Sunday, May 31. The location in the Milwaukee Public Market will remain open.

The reason for the closure, according to the post, is due to an increased monthly lease.

"The support you’ve shown, especially over the last couple of months has been amazing – we can’t thank you enough! – and we’re still open for curbside pick-up through the rest of the month, though, so please continue to help us deplete that inventory," reads the post.

Owners Phil Bilodeau and Aimee Murphy opened the Thief Wine Shorewood location in 2010.
