Third Space Brewing will fire up the "Head Space High Notes" free music fest at its taproom, 1505 W. St. Paul Ave., in the Menomonee Valley on Saturday, April 20 from 2 to 7 p.m.
The musical lineup includes KASE, As Oak, and Another One, a Grateful Dead tribute band.
The 4/20 event will serve as the launch of the craft brewer's latest Head Space THC Lemon Lime Sparkling Water, which now has 10mg of hemp-derived Delta 9 THC and Citra hops.
The first Head Space debuted in November in cans with grapefruit, El Dorado hops and 5mg of THC.
Other brewers have been trying different amounts of THC in sparkling waters, too. Indeed Brewing's, for example, come in 2, 5 and 10 mg version.
"We are finding people want higher potency," says co-founder Andy Gehl of Head Space, which is available in the brewery's Milwaukee taproom and a retail in the Milwaukee area.
Gehl says he hopes to expand that distribution for the variants and that Third Space will become, "market leaders in the growing THC beverage market in Wisconsin."
Hemp-derived Delta 9 THC, which is what is used in the beverages, is legal in Wisconsin under the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, according to Third Space.
Saturday's event will also have food for purchase from Ian’s Pizza and EZ Tiki, and Kind Oasis will have a pop-up shop with Delta 9 THC products.
"Live music events on our outdoor stage have become a huge part of Third Space Brewing," Gehls says, s"o we think it is a perfect fit to throw a live music fest on 4/20 to introduce people to this innovative new product line.”
