The quest for Milwaukee's Top Model is on. And it's online, too, thanks to a new partnership between the city's two premier magazines, OnMilwaukee.com and Milwaukee Magazine.

It's called Milwaukee's Top Model Search, and it's a hunt for new and emerging talent that will grace the pages of Milwaukee Magazine and OnMilwaukee.com. Quite simply, somebody's big break awaits, and it includes appearances in several of the area's largest fashion events.

"Milwaukee is a growing fashion hub, and we want Milwaukee's Top Model Search to help grow the scene while providing exposure and opportunities for local models," said Milwaukee Magazine Associate Publisher Linda Lundeen.

Milwaukee-area women and men with modeling dreams can submit applications at MilwaukeesTopModel.com. Photos and bios of the entrants will be posted on the site, where readers can vote for their favorite contestants. Ten finalists will be revealed on July 29 at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Milwaukee. Those finalists will compete in an Aug. 8 runway show at Bradford Beach, where a panel of celebrity judges will crown Milwaukee's Top Model.

Finalists at the Bradford Beach runway show will sport summer fashions and styling by Erik of Norway. Identities of the celebrity judges will be announced in the next two weeks.

The 2009 Milwaukee's Top Model Search winner receives a prize package that includes:

  •   Two round trip tickets from AirTran Airways
  •   An appearance in a future issue of Milwaukee Magazine
  •   A feature article on OnMilwaukee.com
  •   Participation in Lela’s September 2009 "Tents under Broadway" fashion event
  •   A fashion board advisory role for the 2010 edition of Milwaukee's Top Model Search
  • A lifelong subscription to Milwaukee Magazine
  • Portfolio-quality prints

Milwaukee's Top Model search is sponsored by Erik of Norway, Nuvo sparkling vodka and Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.
