Milwaukee's Trinity Academy of Irish Dance has won five gold medals at the World Irish Dancing Championships in Dublin. Trinity's "Under 13 team" became the 11th Trinity team to win a World title since the group was organized 30 years ago.
The gold medalists include Brittney DeBoer (age 12) from Cedarburg, Allie Karnuth (age 12) from Waukesha, Meghan Kehoe (age 12) from Whitewater, Maggie Nowakowski (age 11) from Mequon and Quinn Vande Hey (age 11) from Sheboygan.
The competition was held April 17-23.
