Have you been meaning to enroll in TSA Pre-Check to speed up your airport security experience. A two-week enrollment center lets you apply at Mitchell Airport this summer.

Passengers who enroll in in TSA Pre-Check don't have to take off their shoes, belts and light outwear, or take out their laptops and liquids when passing through TSA security screening at airports.

And you also get to use a special line that's often shorter and quicker than the standard security line.

All the airlines that currently serve Mitchell Airport take part in the program.

You can enroll in the main terminal at MKE – near the Miller Brewery Shop – weekdays from July 25 to Aug. 5, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.

Enrollees are encouraged to pre-enroll and schedule an interview at to avoid a wait. Walk-ins are available without an appointment but there may be a wait.

To pre-enroll, type in the location as “MKE” and choose
"MKE 7/25-8/5.” Once you enroll you'll get a Known Traveler
Number in the mail that can be added to airline tickets and frequent flyer accounts.

When you show up to enroll, bring a passport or other government-issued photo ID and proof of citizenship, as well as $85 for five-year membership is $85. Credit cards, money orders, company checks, and certified/cashier’s checks are accepted. No cash or personal checks.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he lived until he was 17, Bobby received his BA-Mass Communications from UWM in 1989 and has lived in Walker's Point, Bay View, Enderis Park, South Milwaukee and on the East Side.

He has published three non-fiction books in Italy – including one about an event in Milwaukee history, which was published in the U.S. in autumn 2010. Four more books, all about Milwaukee, have been published by The History Press.

With his most recent band, The Yell Leaders, Bobby released four LPs and had a songs featured in episodes of TV's "Party of Five" and "Dawson's Creek," and films in Japan, South America and the U.S. The Yell Leaders were named the best unsigned band in their region by VH-1 as part of its Rock Across America 1998 Tour. Most recently, the band contributed tracks to a UK vinyl/CD tribute to the Redskins and collaborated on a track with Italian novelist Enrico Remmert.

He's produced three installments of the "OMCD" series of local music compilations for and in 2007 produced a CD of Italian music and poetry.

In 2005, he was awarded the City of Asti's (Italy) Journalism Prize for his work focusing on that area. He has also won awards from the Milwaukee Press Club.
