There is no gig round-up on this holiday, but we didn't want to neglect to tell you about Tussle at Borg Ward this week.

Part Public Image Limited, part Massive Attack and part ESG, San Francisco's Tussle has a new disc -- "Cream Cuts" (Smalltown Supersound) -- and arrives at the Borg Ward -- 823 W. National Ave. in Walker's Point -- for a gig on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Some might dismiss the group's third disc as yet another diddly electronica band, but that's wrong. Tussle is equal parts dub, disco, electronica and psychedelia, creating a sound that's fun and funky rather than mathematical and "automated," for lack of a better word.

Although it underwent some changes after the release of its second disc, 2006's "Telescope Mind," founders Jonathan Holland and Nathan Burazer are still on board.

Check out the band in Milwaukee this week. Show time is 7 p.m. and Crime in Stereo, Fake Problems and Wholehearted also play.
