The man, a Marquette alum and Milwaukee accountant, was arrested for burglary, but also for possession of child pornography, after police seized his computer and found multiple images of underage sexual material.
According to Police Department spokesperson Anne E. Schwartz, the incidents occurred over a two-year span at an apartment building in the 800 block of N. 14th St. Allegedly, the man gained entry to the building, where he used to live, with a master key. Some of the 46 bags seized contained multiple pairs of panties -- if the man would return to rob an apartment, he grouped the underwear together by unit, Schwartz said.
Marquette University's Department of Public Safety held the man after a student called for help shortly before midnight on Saturday night. He voluntarily allowed police to search his home and computer, said Schwartz. Other than the disturbing images on the seized computer -- and the pile of panties, police said the have found no evidence of assault. The case is currently being reviewed by the District Attorney's office.
