The 21st Winter Olympic Games are officially underway after Friday night's Opening Ceremony at BC Place in Vancouver.

The program, produced by David Atkins, celebrated the wide range of Canadian regions and people, paid respect to a fallen competitor and overcame some late technical difficulties to light the fire for the Vancouver games.
