After three long months, the sausage slingers are back up and running at The Vanguard, 2659 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.

While dine-in service is still unavailable, you can get your fix of a wide variety of Vanguard staples, from beefy hot dogs ($5) to vegan chorizo and Italian sausages ($7) and composed sausages like the Giannis with venison bacon and leek sausage topped with zucchini, eggplant briami, manouri cheese and oregano ($13).

Guest will also find favorites like Thee Dirty Burger ($9), Nashville hot chicken ($9) and a slew of delectable sides. There are also butcher boards featuring sausages and accoutrements ($32). And you can wash it all down with a six pack or growler of beer.

Oh, yes. And if you're in the mood for a cook-out, pre-cooked sausages are also available in packs for grilling at home. Check out the full carry-out menu for details.

Orders can be placed online or by phone at (414) 539-3593 for pick-up. The Vanguard is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
