Randy Moss is unemployed.
Less than a month after returning to Minnesota, the Vikings cut the wide receiver Monday, a day after he caught just one pass against New England -- his former team -- in a 28-18 loss.
In three games with Minnesota, Moss caught 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
Moss came under fire last week, drawing a $25,000 fine from the NFL for not making himself available to the media in the days before the Patriots game. Sunday, he told reporters he would make himself available -- but he, himself, would ask all the questions.
"I got fined $25,000 for not speaking to you all," Moss said. "Me, personally, I really don't care," Moss said. "But at the same time, I do answer questions throughout the week. For the league to fine me $25,000, I'm not going to answer any more questions for the rest of this year. If it's going to be an interview, I'm going to conduct (it) ... I'll ask myself the questions, then give y'all the answers. So from here on out, I'm not answering any more questions for the rest of this season."
He then proceeded to heap praise on Patriots' coach Bill Belichick, while taking some not-so-veiled shots at his own coach, Brad Childress, whom Moss claims didn't listen to his advice on the type of plays New England planned to run.
He concluded with a message for his former teammates: "I love you guys, I miss you guys ... I'm out."
He was traded to Minnesota four games into the season, when it appeared that his role with New England had been diminished. The Vikings sent the Patriots a third round draft choice to bring him back to Minnesota, where he played his first seven seasons.
