"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun articles on bars and clubs -- including guides, the latest trends, bartender profiles and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!
Thinking about stopping off for happy hour on your way home Wednesday? Permit me to self-promote for a moment.
As part of Bar Month here at OnMilwaukee.com, I'll be hopping behind the bar on Feb. 23 for one hour at Blu at The Pfister Hotel as part of the "Celebrity Blutender" program.
I'll be serving up drinks from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. I've spent plenty of time behind the bar but fear not, Blu manager Adam Jones will be watching over my shoulder to make sure I get your order correct.
As an added bonus, all of my tips will be donated to the Ataxia-Telangiectasia Children's Project, a charity very near and dear to my heart. Blu will also donate a percentage of the proceeds brought in during my shift to the ATCP.
Ataxia-Telangiectasia, or "A-T," is a progressive, degenerative disease that affects a startling variety of body systems. Children with A-T appear normal at birth, and the first signs of the disease usually appear during the second year of life. It's an awful disease that doesn't get a lot of attention, so every little bit helps.
If you're thinking about meeting up with friends after work Wednesday, swing by Blu. I promise you good service and I might even talk a little baseball with you.
