"We Are Water / Somos Agua" is a celebration of our shared waters and our shared humanity, as well as a multicultural gathering that brings people together from all parts of the city through art and water.

The fifth annual event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 5 at South Shore Park Beach, 2900 S. Shore Dr. It runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The free event, hosted by the Milwaukee Water Commons, will include music, poetry and ceremony right on the sand.

Love our lake? This sounds pretty great.
