It's nearly patio season in Milwaukee. But the riverfront is one patio shy, at least for the time being.

Wine Maniacs on the River, the wine bar and restaurant at 106 Seeboth St., has closed. The venue, which was the second location for the popular Oconomowoc-based brand, opened in summer of 2013.

According to a representative at the wine bar's Oconomowoc location, the venue closed March 1, though it has only recently vacated the space, having remained open to honor its existing contracts for private events.

There are rumors that another venue already has eyes on the space. So, we'll update you with details as soon as they are available.

Wine Maniacs in Oconomowoc will remain open.
