This afternoon, Mayor Tom Barrett announced that winter parking restrictions in the City of Milwaukee were lifted, effectively immediately.
The winter parking restrictions are usually active every year until March 1, but considering the unseasonably warm temperatures both of the past weekend and the lack of heavy snowfall expected throughout the rest of the month, Mayor Barrett determined the regulations were no longer necessary for these final remaining days.
According to FOX 6, however, Barrett did warn that if the city gets hit with "six or nine or twelve inches of snow, you may hear from us again."
According to the current 10-day weather forecast, temperatures are expected to go down over the weekend through the end of the month, with rain and snow showers predicted. All of the predicted snowfall, however, is currently forecast to be mild.
