OnMilwaukee.com has written a lot about movies filmed in our state, movies that take place in our state and actors from our state, but I like the idea of blogging about films that have very little or nothing to do with Wisconsin (or Milwaukee), but that insignificantly reference it somewhere in the script.
I find it interesting that the last two films I watched via Netflix both had very minor Wisconsin moments.
A couple of nights ago, I re-watched "Brokeback Mountain," and a Packers game is on in the background during Thanksgiving dinner. Last night, I watched "Annie Hall," and Annie, played by Diane Keaton, says she is from Chippewa Falls.
I love these subtle shout-outs to our state. Know of any others?
