The Bayfield Winery is located high on the hills overlooking the waters of Lake Superior. Scott and Renate Hauser specialize in making traditional hard ciders, meads and country wines from primarily locally grown fruits and honey.
Brigadoon Winery

This winery is located in an area largely populated by people of
Finnish descent. It produces 17 different wines. This writer's favorite
and their best seller is White Merlot.

Chateau St. Croix Winery is a delicious taste of Europe. The 55-acre
estate features a carriage house, stables, vineyards, formal gardens,
picnic areas and a fishing pond and is open to the public year-round.
Wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Red Zinfandel, Frontenac,
Wild River Rosé, Port, Symphony, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Chateau
Rouge and Thoroughbred Red.

Hook Stone Winery bills itself as the location where "Napa meets the
Northwoods." Hayward. Best sellers are Muskie Merlot, Vacationland
Viognier and Walleye Blush with cranberries.
Munson Bridge Winery

The winery is located on the former Munson Farm in Clark County. The
farm and home, built in 1914, are just down the road from the Munson
Bridge that crosses the Black River. The winery specialized in wines
made from local fruits, including elderberries and plums.

Vernon Vineyards Winery overlooks the Bad Axe River in this writer's
present home, scenic Vernon County of western Wisconsin. Vernon County
boasts 32 vineyards with 68 acres of grapes, of which 10 acres
surrounds the winery. Specializing in wines made from cold climate
grapes, Vernon Vineyards offers premium wines with a selection of sweet
to dry whites, blush, and semi-dry to dry reds.

Weggy Winery is one of this writer's favorites, in part because it
is on the way during the somewhat frequent trips I make between
Milwaukee and the Driftless Area. Featured red wines include Oak Ridge
Red, Hilltop Red and Proprietor's Choice Oakey Red. All are made with
grapes grown at the Oak Ridge Vineyard.

White Winter Winery is located in the beautiful northwoods near Iron River. Again, meads are one of their specialties and this writer's favorite.

Woodland Trail Winery is located in northern Oconto County in the Nicolet National Forest. Wines include Merlot, a favorite in the tasting room, and an oak-aged Chardonnay.
