{image1} We Wisconsinites have always known we're a smart bunch, and a recent list compiled by Morgan Quinto Press reaffirms it. The Education State Rankings graded Wisconsin as the fifth smartest state in the union, based on a number of public school factors.

In the rankings, they included per-pupil expenditures, public high school graduation rates, average class size, student reading and math proficiency and pupil-teacher ratios. High school drop out rates and physical violence counted against a state's intelligence score.

And yes, Packers fans, this survey shows that we're the smartest team in the NFC North, though surprisingly, Vikings fans rate a close No. 7. Bears fans come in it No. 24. Lions fans bring up the rear at No. 31.
