Women are skilled when it comes to "getting down to business" in all areas of our lives, so when we "get down to business" on starting or maintaining a business, we're a fierce, natural fit.

It's important and necessary, however, that we continue to keep learning and growing regardless of where we are with our business – even if we haven't started it yet. That's where Women’s Entrepreneurship Week Milwaukee comes in.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Week Milwaukee returns for a third year next month and will once again provide a series of events with opportunities for local women and their allies to network, collaborate, share and listen.

"Although this event is primarily by and for women, men are encouraged to attend and will be included on some of the panels," says Jenny Weeden, co-organizer. "Because obviously we all work together every day."

Forty-five panels and seminars take place throughout the day and evening during the week of March 4-8 – with a special kickoff party on Sunday, March 3 – at numerous locations in Milwaukee, primarily Downtown and the East Side.

All of the events are free and explore topics like "Is A Startup Right For You," "How To Build A Personal Brand on Linked In," "Secrets of 6-Figure Business Owners" and more. For a full listing of offerings and to sign up, go here

Weeden says they attracted a diverse group of dialogue leaders and panelists and that everyone is welcome.

"Entrepreneurship can be a daunting word for many people, but Women’s Entrepreneurship Week encourages anyone to attend," says Weeden. "If you want to connect with a community of women doing cool things in Milwaukee, or have thought about starting a business or want to challenge the status quo while working for a larger business, then this is for you."
