Here are defensive back Charles Woodson's comments to the media after Super Bowl XLV:

On how emotional this game was for him:

"It's been an unbelievable journey for this team all season long. All season long we had to fight through a lot of things and today was no different. (Donald) Driver goes down. I go down. Just like all season, somebody stepped in and they stepped up. That's what this Green Bay Packers team is about and I think I let out all of my emotions at half time, knowing that I couldn't play the game the rest of the way. It's an unbelievable feeling."

On what he told the younger players after he was injured:

"I told the guys, before they went back out, they understand how much I wanted it. I was pretty emotional so I didn't get a whole lot out, but just to tell them to get it done and they did."

On what winning the Super Bowl means to veteran players like him:

"It means a lot. We've accomplished what every man in the NFL wants to accomplish, and that is to win the Super Bowl trophy. For us, we walk those halls every day at Lambeau (Field) and we've seen all the greats. This is our opportunity to get on the wall so it means a great deal to us."

On how proud he is of the defense for making big plays in the game:

"(I'm) very proud. Late in that game, especially when Pittsburgh made that run, any great team is going to make a run and we knew that. They came out and made some plays, and got on the board, but when we needed stops we came up with a few turnovers today, which were huge. The last play of the game was great break-up by Tramon (Williams), who's had an unbelievable season. We won the biggest game of them all, so it feels good.

On how it feels to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Green Bay:

"That's where it belongs. It's the Lombardi Trophy. (Vince) Lombardi is viewed as one of the greatest to ever coach and we get to bring it back home, so we are very proud of that."

On whether he knew the extent of his injury:

"I knew I did something and I knew it was pretty severe, but I went in and took the x-rays and as soon as I looked at it there was no question. It broke me down, but I'll deal with it. We won so it's all good."

On how emotional being injured was:

"I'm a champ so it doesn't matter. I've got a long time to heal up and get ready for the next go around. It's broken but world champion, that's what it's all about."

On playing must-win games since the last few weeks of the regular season:

"We just continued to get better all season. We continued to fight no matter what adversity we went through. I think late in the season, down the stretch, we just had fun and today was no different, and world champs."

On having a solid nucleus of young players:

"We're looking to be back again next year. I really believe that. I think we have the team. We have the nucleus, as you say, and we most definitely have the quarterback. We're looking to be back again."

On what he thinks is going on in Green Bay right now:

"Total jubilation. The one thing about it is we travel really well so they may all be here, I'm not sure."

On being a leader and helping to motivate other players:

"I just continue to go out there and play the way I know how to play. When somebody goes down, you know you still have to play football. It doesn't matter who it is or at what point in the season it is. You still have to go out there and perform. That's the kind of example you try to show to your teammates and they follow. They followed all the way to the Super Bowl with a victory."

On what his injury was:

"I broke my collarbone."

On what he said to the guys at halftime:

"I got out a couple of words, just told them that they know how much it means to me. All season long, guys have stressed how much they wanted me to win it. Why? I don't know, but they have said it and they said the same thing again today. It means a great deal to me for those guys to come out and, to me, express that, and they finally got it done."

On what his emotions were at halftime:

"Well, what I could get out is what I said. 'You guys know how much it means to me. Just go out there and play your game.' And they did."

On how emotional this was for him:

"Well, I think I let everything out when I found out I couldn't play at halftime, so I'm a little dried up right now. But, it's everything I wanted it to be. It's been a long, tough season for us. We fought through a lot and we won in the biggest moment of our lives, so it feels good."

On how confident he was that the team could overcome the loss of he and Donald Driver:

"They've been doing it all year, so we felt no different about today. They had to go out there and perform. They did just that and got off the field. Tramon (Williams) -- what a tremendous year he has had. Fourth down, game is over, and we're the champs."

On what the guys said to him:

"'We won.' I'm ecstatic. I don't know what else to say about it. They did a great job and I appreciate those guys. They went out and played hard and got the biggest win of all of our lives."

On being fitted for Super Bowl rings the day before the game:

"We are a confident team. We knew we had a good team. We knew if we went out and played the way (that) we are capable of playing, we don't feel like anybody can beat us. That was just a vote of confidence for us: get fitted for your ring. I don't know when we'll get them, but it'll fit."
