We are often forced to say goodbye to Milwaukee businesses before we want to, so it's almost always a pleasure to announce the arrival of something new.

This July, The Twisted Fisherman Crab Shack will open in the Menomonee Valley. It will located along the Milwaukee River between the Potawatomi Bingo Casino and the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Owner Russ Davis currently owns and operates the Rio West Cantina, Lakefront Brewery Palm Garden, Riverwalk Boat Tours and the Hubbard Park Lodge under the Vecchio Entertainment Group.

"The Menomonee Valley is the perfect site for a coastal-style crab shack," says Davis.

This new restaurant will offer a variety of seafood-focused lunch and dinner options, as well as a full bar, spacious patio and boat slips.

The Twisted Fisherman Crab Shack is scheduled to open in mid-July. Details will be posted online at escapetomilwaukee.com

Also, multiple CherryBerry Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Bars will open in Wisconsin later this year. One will open in Mequon, 1424 W. Mequon Rd., and another in Whitefish Bay, next to the Dunkin' Donuts.

According to Julie Bartol, the director of operations for AAH Enterprisers, the yogurt bars will be open by mid summer. "If we have our druthers, it will be open by July," she says.

Other franchises are coming to Appleton, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Janesville, La Crosse and Oshkosh. There are CherryBerry bars in 19 states.

CherryBerry offers 50 yogurt flavors and toppings.
