Yokohama, the ramen and karaoke restaurant at 1932 E Kenilworth Pl. on Milwaukee's East Side, has announced it will officially close on Monday, Feb. 5.

The restaurant, which opened in May 2017 and experienced a menu redux under Chef Matt Kerley this past December, served up its last steaming bowls of ramen this weekend. An email statement from the Stand Eat Deliver Hospitality Group delivered the news.

"We appreciate the businesses that welcomed us to the East Side and are happy to have made new friends," they said in a statement. "We are thankful to all of our staff and the hard work they put in as we continue to grow in the SED organization. We appreciate the ramen and karaoke faithful. We hope to see you again at our other establishments. Stand Eat Drink Hospitality has opportunities to pursue growth while we continue welcoming Milwaukee and Wisconsin guests through the doors of all our establishments. We are excited to keep pushing boundaries and bring more amazing hospitality concepts to guests."
