Ever since Boone & Crockett announced plans to close its Bay View bar and relocate it in the former Hot Water Wherehouse at 818 S. Water St., the hills have been alive with the sound of skeptics.
"It just won't be the same," some said. "It will lose all its charm," others echoed.
Now that the move has been finalized, we're happy to report that the skeptics are wrong. The new Boone, which opened at 7 p.m. last night (and which will be open beginning at noon today) is just as rustic, charming and cozy as ever.
Sure it's bigger. And there's more parking. There are also things like a fancy new patio and more live music on the way (read more about all that here). But – as much as things have changed – they've also stayed the same.

Taco Moto will be serving daily beginning at noon on weekdays and 11 a.m. on weekends. Incidentally, Boone will also be open for business over the lunch hour.

Boone & Crockett is open seven days a week. Hours are Monday through Friday from noon to close and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to close.
