Last month, OnMilwaukee broke the news that Jim’s Time Out, 746 N James Lovell St., was undergoing a remodel of the space and the drink menu. At the time, the name of the bar was going to stay the same.

However, co-owner Jay Stamates confirmed today that the name will be changed to The Joint. Bar manager and investor Tomek Kowalczuk told OnMilwaukee in July that although the beloved dive bar was getting a fresh face, it would always honor its roots.

"A lot of our regulars come in for a pitcher of Busch, and we're still going to have that, but we're also going to rotate in other tap beers including nitro, craft and seasonal," says Kowalczuk.

The bar will remain open throughout the remodel. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a First Look in the near future.
