After 10 years in business, the Oakcrest Tavern, 4022 N. Oakland Ave., is closed. The Shorewood watering hole was a sports bar that was smoke-free since opening in 2007.

A letter on the door reads:

"Oakcrest Tavern is closed and being sold to another local operator ... We would like to thank each of you for your patronage ... the timing, although sudden, was right for the current ownership to pursue other business opportunities ... "
