I choose you, Milwaukee, to catch a sweet new Pokémon-themed pop-up bar.
It's true, PokéPeople; sometime next March, a pop-up bar – currently touring the U.S. and U.K. – will open at a Milwaukee bar featuring live-action games including trivia, card battles, giant interactive games, Poké-themed cocktails and adorable Pokémon-designed burgers and menu items. (Can they be called Pikachew, Charmandinner and Bulburgersoar?)
Throughout the pop-up's several "regions," you catch Pokémon and then evolve them throughout all the games and activities, with the goal of winning prizes for getting and growing the most evolved creatures. And even if you're a bad Pokémon trainer, you can still win prizes for popping up at the pop-up with the best costume.
Unfortunately, as of right now, there's no official confirmed date or Milwaukee location for the pop-up bar. But we do know that attendees under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult, and that tickets for the PokéBar will be available on a limited first come, first served basis – with people able to get a leg-up on buying admission by signing up for more information and updates at the Pokémon pop-up bar's website.
Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates on this Pokémon pop-up bar – plus any other wild pop-ups that appear.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
