Rib tips, pulled pork, hot links and more will be waiting for you again next week on Milwaukee’s North Side.

After being closed for a little more than six months, Ashley's Bar-B-Que, 1501 W. Center St., will reopen Tuesday, March 14 at 11 a.m.

According to owner Darnell Ashley, the building – which had to be repaired after a car drove into it over Labor Day weekend – passed its final inspections this afternoon. And he says the restaurant is coming back better than ever.

"We’ve added deep fried jumbo shrimp to the menu," Ashley says. "And we’ll be offering our soul food menu every day, including beef oxtails, smothered pork chops, fried chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese."

Ashley says the fate of Ashley’s Que, which suffered serious smoke damage during a recent fire, is still uncertain.

Starting Tuesday, March 14, Ashley’s Bar-B-Que will be open Tuesday through Thurs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
