Craving a bit of confetti cake from Batches? You'll want to head over to the Third Ward  bakery and grab a slice while you still can.

Batches, the bakery and cafe which opened in February of 2018 at 401 E. Erie St. will close its doors after service on Friday, May 10.

"We’ve really seen growth in wholesale and catering side of the business," says Chef Daniel Jacobs of the JVR Group. "So we’re really going to refocus our energy on growing our catering service – be they dinner or  desserts – for weddings and other events. Essentially Batches will continue as a brand, just in a different form."

To accommodate special orders, wholesale and catering, the bakery operations led by Pastry Chef Jaceleen Latin Monagle will be moved into the lower level kitchen space at Fauntleroy, another JVR Group restaurant in the Third Ward.

Batches' popular holiday offerings such specialty pies and cookies will also continue to be available for pre-order and pick-up for select holidays including Easter, Mother's Day and Christmas.  Specials will continue  to be broadcast via  the Batches Instagram account.

Those interested in catering or special orders can reach out to Batches at batchesmke.com or by phone at (414) 239-8980.
