In Dining

Milwaukee's best view/patio, 2017

Season's eatings! The weather may be getting colder, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee is just cooking up, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Dining Month is brought to you by Fein Brothers, your premier food service equipment and supply dealer in Wisconsin since 1929. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted!

Harbor House

The lake on one side and the city's evolving skyline on the other, with the Milwaukee Art Museum next door, it all makes the view from Harbor House quite unbeatable. And OnMilwaukee readers obviously agree as they've handed the seafood restaurant the title in this category seven straight times now.

Coming in at a strong No. 2 is Barnacle Bud's on the South Side. We're a hard-working Midwestern town that was once an industrial giant, so it makes perfect sense that we'd love a beer and a fish fry along a formerly bustling waterway, right?

Runners up:
2. Barnacle Bud's
3. The Outsider at The Kimpton Journeyman
4. Wolf Peach
5.
Lake Park Bistro

OnMilwaukee editors' pick: Barnacle Bud's

Lori Fredrich's pick: The Outsider at The Kimpton Journeyman
Gads, I love the lake view at Harbor House. But, in the past year, I've also become a huge fan of the rooftop patio at The Outsider at the Kimpton Journeyman. And that's where my vote is being cast for 2017. There are great nibbles, well-executed cocktails and you simply can't beat that view of the city, which for me functions as a keen reminder of just how far we've come in the last decade.
