The Corners of Brookfield already has an impressive collection of restaurant tenants including Cafe Hollander, BelAir Cantina, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Freshfin Poke, Orange Leaf and The Goddess and the Baker. And venues like Lake Country Social  and Walburgers are on the way.

But that's not all. The newest addition to the food and beverage line-up is a Downtown favorite: Cubanitas.

The development announced this evening that construction on a third Cubanitas location will begin this fall, with the restaurant slated to open at The Corners in spring of 2020.

The Brookfield location will be the third for Marc and Marta Bianchini who opened the first Cubanitas location at 728 N Milwaukee St. in 2003. A second location followed at Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek in 2017.

"We can’t wait to bring Cubanitas to the Town of Brookfield community," said Marc Bianchini, co-owner of Cubanitas in a statement. "The Corners has a vibrancy and energy that complements the atmosphere of Cubanitas nicely, and this location is the perfect fit for us."

The venue, which will occupy 3,000 square feet on the southwest corner of Union and Lord Streets, will bring global flair to The Corners with its menu of Cuban favorites including empanadas, lechon asado and mojitos, all served with simple flavors and fresh ingredients. Guests will also be invited to enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating for 100 guests.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Cubanitas to The Corners’ diverse restaurant lineup," noted Robert Gould, vice president of IM Properties in a release. "The restaurant offers an experience and menu that is unlike anything else in Brookfield, and we’re proud that Cubanitas chose The Corners for its newest location."
