For the ninth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2015."

You've been waiting for it Milwaukee – and the time is finally here.

Giovanni's – a nostalgic favorite of many East Siders – will reopen its doors to the public at 1033 N. Old World 3rd St. on Monday, Oct. 26. Jeff Sherman speculated on the new location and the return of the beloved Giovanni's here

The new location formerly housed Tutto and the upstairs – previously the club called Notte – is home to the new Comedy Cafe. It, too, has moved from the same corner that once housed Giovanni's, Van Buren and Brady Streets. Giovanni's closed in 2006.

Giovanni’s is returning with father and sons side by side to share the recipes of classic Italian dishes with accents from their home town in Sicily. A quick look at the new menu lists favorites such as the Giovanni Scamponi and veal cotoletta.

Mangia!  And, stay tuned for a first look soon!
