Hot diggity dog. It’s wiener Wednesday at Portillo’s. And that means special pricing on hot dogs.

In celebration of summer weather, as well as its newest location in Greenfield, Portillo’s has announced a special one-day-only $1 hot dog offer. And, frankly, that's a pretty good deal.

On Wednesday, June 21 any customer who purchases an entree (be that a sandwich, entree salad or ribs) also qualifies for a regular Portillo’s Chicago-style hot dog or chili dog for just $1.

That's right. You can relish a snappy dog with all the fixin's – including mustard, relish, celery salt, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle and sport peppers – piled onto a perfectly steamed poppy seed speckled bun for about the same price as a song on iTunes.

So, grab a hungry friend, meat up and chow down. The offer is good 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (or while supplies last) at the Portillo’s in Brookfield, 17685 W. Bluemound Rd, and the newest Portillo’s location in Greenfield at 8705 W. Sura Ln.

The $1 hot dogs are exclusive to Portillo’s Brookfield and Greenfield locations and are only available for dine-in or drive-thru customers.

In the meantime, you can gaze longingly at photographs of hot dogs on the Portillo’s Instagram, Facebook or Twitter feeds.
