Milwaukee is finally getting a Shake Shack

It looks like Wisconsin is getting its first Shake Shack location.

The chain, founded with a kiosk in Madison Square Park in New York City by restaurateur Danny Meyer, is coming to Milwaukee.

Four managerial jobs are listed on the company's website for a location opening at 220 E. Buffalo St. in the Historic Third Ward.

Shake Shack has built its reputation on its milkshakes and 100 percent Angus beef burgers that are hormone / antibiotic free. It's been reported that the publicly traded company has a goal of 450 company-owned stores nationwide. In February, the company opened its first Michigan location in Downtown Detroit. There are three locations in Chicagoland.

This marks the first fast casual national chain to enter the Historic Third Ward neighborhood.

Perhaps it was a 2015 tweet from Omar Shaikh of SURG Restaurant Group that helped to inspire the Milwaukee location?

Heck, our own Jeff Sherman did a similar thing with Jamba Juice.

OnMilwaukee called the corporate headquarters of Shake Shack for confirmation of the exact location and opening day, and awaiting a response.

Stay tuned for an update.
