The Ruckus has adjusted its hours after a busy opening weekend.

After busy opening weekend, The Ruckus makes changes to service hours

Last week, we gave you a first look at The Ruckus, the new fast casual restaurant serving memorable burgers and ice cream at 4144 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood.

Originally, the restaurant announced it would be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. However, it appears the restaurant is making some changes to its hours after what sounds like an extraordinarily busy opening weekend.

According to a pre-recorded phone message we encountered when calling the restaurant, it has changed its hours, at least temporarily, removing dinner service for the time being.

"Thank you for calling Ruckus…" the message said. "We are making some adjustments to the restaurant based on the overwhelming demand that we saw on opening weekend. We will reopen this week for lunch only. We will reopen on Tuesday. We will serve lunch daily from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. all this week. We also will not be taking call-in carry-out orders the first few months of the restaurant. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to see you soon at the Ruckus."

A post from the restaurant on Instagram also corroborated the information:

We will be open for lunches only this week, starting Tues.

Scott Schwebel, vice president of brand, marketing and retail, confirmed Ruckus' new hours as well stating "the response to The Ruckus opening was enormous!!! As a result we wanted to make a few adjustments to ensure we have it just right for our customers. We are going to be open for lunches daily, 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. starting today, while we get all things up to speed. We are very excited but want to be great on all fronts - product, customer service, quality… sometimes this takes a step back (especially with a new idea) to ensure you are delivering your best work."
