View MKE, a new small plates and shareable platter restaurant occupying the former Wolf Peach location, 1818 N. Hubbard St., announced that it will open on Monday, June 25.

The announcement arrived on Facebook, where the new eatery has been teasing some of its menu features, interior design and – fitting of its name – impressive view of Downtown Milwaukee.

Featuring two stories of indoor dining space, as well as a large outdoor patio, View MKE is expected to serve globally-inspired "farm-to-fork" menus, with the indoor dining rooms showcasing seasonal small plate dishes while the restaurant's patio will focus on separate offerings of appetizers and shareable plates. The new restaurant will also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates – including a first look – on the new Brewers Hill restaurant.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
