Tis the season for Milwaukee merriment and BMO Harris Bank is bringing you happy holiday stories all season long.

Thanks to another generous donation from WaterStone Bank, the ice rink at Center Street Park will be back this winter – bringing with it a new pond hockey tournament. The rink will be open for skating on Saturday, Dec. 17, weather permitting.

Skating at Center Street Park is made possible by a partnership between the Friends of Center Street Park, WaterStone Bank, and Milwaukee County Parks.

Rink hours will be Monday-Sunday, from sunrise to 10 p.m. Warming house hours will be Monday-Friday, from 3 to 10 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon-10 p.m.

On weekends throughout the season, volunteers will lend skates donated by the Pettit National Ice Center. Hours of free skate lending and concessions will be from noon to 6 p.m. (subject to volunteer availability).

In addition to the ice rink, the Friends of Center Street Park will host an inaugural pond hockey tournament, The Center Street Hoser Mid-Winter Classic, on Saturday, Jan. 21. Teams will face off for the right to raise the "Hoser Cup" – a vintage hockey trophy that was reclaimed and given new life for this event.

Center Street Park is a community green space serving diverse Milwaukee and Wauwatosa neighborhoods including East Tosa, Enderis Park, Lenox Heights, and Uptown Crossing. Our park brings this unique corner of the city together to enjoy the outdoors.
