Milwaukee gal Cheryl Pawelski, now a producer of CD reissue projects in the Los Angeles area, has been nominated for a Grammy for her work on "Rockin' Bones: 1950's Punk & Rockabilly."

The nomination in the "Best Historical Album" category reads: Rockin' Bones: 1950's Punk & Rockabilly, James Austin & Cheryl Pawelski, compilation producers; Bill Inglot & Dave Schultz, mastering engineers (Various Artists)

Other projects featuring the work of John Coltrane and Miles Davis -- both for Concord/Fantasy Records -- made it to the final round of nominations, too, but didn't survive the cut to the final five, Pawelski says.
