Summerfest took another step toward filling out its 2020 slate this morning, announcing that famous jam rockers Dave Matthews Band will hit the new and improved Amp during the Big Gig on Wednesday, July 2.

The show marks Dave Matthews Band's third performance in Wisconsin in three years, hitting Alpine Valley this past summer as well as headlining Summerfest back in 2018. The band also took the Big Gig's biggest stage back in 2014.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Summerfest box office. However, there will also be a fan presale for DMB Warehouse Fan Association members, beginning on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 9 a.m. at warehouse.davematthewsband.com, as well as an additional presale for Citi cardmembers starting on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, Feb. 20 at 10 p.m. For more information on the Citi presale, click here.

Plus, Summerfest itself will have a presale for its Insiders on Thursday, Feb. 20. For more information on the Big Gig's Insiders newsletter, visit Summerfest's website.

The jam band joins an increasingly crowded 2020 Big Gig lineup that now includes Justin Bieber opening up the festival on June 24, country star Luke Bryan on June 25, rock icons Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson on July 1 and pop star  Halsey on July 3. But obviously there's much, MUCH more to announce – so for more Summerfest announcements and updates, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
