October is the fourth-annual Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delicious features, chef profiles, unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2010."

I'm loving Milwaukee this week. I mean, I always love Milwaukee, but the weather is idyllic and I've had two great lunches at new places, two days in a row.

Today's was at the new Mr. Senor's, a walk-up taco joint at 2335 N. Murray Ave., which is dangerously close to my office. I ordered a gigantic carne asada taco with guacamole for $7. Even though it was my second straight day of Mexican, it was no less delicious.

Mr. Senor's is the kind of place I just don't expect to see in Milwaukee. Owned by Dude Llanas (yes, Dude), the brother of the BoDeans' Sammy Llanas, it is a walk-up only restaurant. Open late into the night, Dude only sells three menu choices: one large homemade flour tortilla taco, a plate lunch or three small tacos. You pick your meat, toppings and sauce. Steak costs a buck extra, sour cream or guac, $.50.

Even though he only accepts cash, this place is gonna be huge.

The homemade tortilla sealed the deal for me, and this was a taco on par with the places I love in Phoenix, like Filiberto's. The fact that it's only to-go (Llanas says he might add seating and delivery later), isn't even an impediment. My lunch was made from scratch and was ready in five minutes.

Silly name aside, Mr. Senor's is seriously good. Run, don't walk, over to the East Side and find out for yourself.
