The Ghost Train, a new public art project - or, to use the creator's language, an "artistic sensory experience" - made its debut last night at the Oak Leaf Trail Bridge and Capitol Drive in the Village of Shorewood.

WisDOT denies Hoan Bridge bicycle and pedestrian path

Earlier this year there was much debate on whether or not the Wisconsin Department of Transportation should consider redeveloping the Hoan Bridge to include a bicycle and pedestrian path while redecking the surface. After an extended feasibility study, which took into account cost, traffic impact, and engineering possibilities, WisDOT released news today that the project is dead.

Crank Daddy's reopens in beautiful new showroom just up the block

I peeked into the recently relocated Crank Daddy's bike shop and was really impressed with the new digs. Formerly located just a block away at 2108 N. Farwell Ave., the new spot is open for business in a beautiful new showroom at 2170 N. Prospect Ave. Giant windows, covered bike parking and patio seating really gave the place an inviting feel that you should check out.

Cyclists may get a bike path with a view

An extra lane could be created on the Hoan Bridge -- a bike lane. Local bicycling groups hope a 10-year-old plan to create a bike lane on the Hoan Bridge will be revitalized in an effort to make Milwaukee more bicycle-friendly.
