In May 2005 three friends -- Culley Winter, Matt Burkert, Louis Chaves -- purchased Fritz's on 2nd. In a matter of weeks they had revamped the space into the Fifth Ward Pub & Grille, 814 S. 2nd St. in Walker's Point.
