Always on the lookout for Milwaukee-related things, I acted quickly when I heard author Patrick Somerville's debut novel "The Cradle" was set in Brew City. What I discovered is that that's not entirely true. In fact, it's not true at all. While I was a little disappointed that the book wasn't packed to the brim with references to familiar places, Somerville's interweaving of two stories in this slim and rather unusual road novel is very satisfying.
