105 years later, Milwaukee murder case still amazes
Casper Melchior Sanger (pictured) was a captain of industry in the late 1800s who made and then lost a fortune. His son, Emil, was a wife-beating civic menace who was murdered by his brother-in-law, Robert Luscombe a former city attorney. Luscombe did not serve time for the murder, which is called one of "Milwaukee's greatest tragedies."
