Roots Restaurant and Cellar carved out a special place in the hearts of many in Milwaukee. Chef Dan Jacobs, who spent a year and a half running the kitchen at Roots before taking over as executive chef for Wolf Peach, says he understands what diners might be feeling about the restaurant's recent transition. But, he says customers should be assured that the spirit of Roots is still very much alive and well.
