Summerfest announces 2017 admission promos and offers

There's only one thing better than Summerfest tickets and that's free Summerfest tickets.

So here are all of Summerfest's announced admission promotions, gate giveaways and special offers for the 2017 Big Gig. Unless otherwise noted, most promos start at noon and run while supplies last or through mid-afternoon, whichever comes first. All exchanges also take place at the mid-gate promotions booth, located at the mid-gate plaza.

Here are the deals and discounts for Summerfest 50:

Wednesday, June 28

  • "Stomp Out Hunger" Day: From noon until 3 p.m., all patrons who donate three non-perishable food items to benefit the Hunger Task Force will receive one free weekday admission ticket. The ticket is valid the day of the promotion only. Donations will be accepted at the mid-gate promotions booth, as well as at the north and south gates.

Thursday, June 29

  • Throwback Thursday: In addition to showcasing old school artists like Tommy Tutone, Fishbone, The Suburbs and Soul Asylum, Throwback Thursday will offer 50 percent off on all beverages (excluding smoothies and ice cream drinks) from noon until 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 29. In addition, Pick 'n Save customers can receive four free Big Gig tickets – valid on June 29 from noon until 6 p.m. for every $50 they spend at a Pick 'n Save location from May 10 through June 13. The deal is limited to three offers, or 12 tickets, per transaction.
