A Wisconsin State Fair classic food and a favorite of many, the corn from the New Berlin Lions Club is back for its 60th year at the fair.

The corn – which you can find at the corner of Third Street and Central Avenue – is only $3.50 an ear and comes plain. You choose which seasoning you want: traditional corn seasoning – adds a salty, spicy onion and garlic flavor – or lion’s roar corn seasoning, with chili pepper, garlic and paprika. Either choice adds a mere five calories to the corn.

Or just add plain salt and pepper.

The GMO-free corn is grown by Poulson Farms in Palmyra, and tastes just as fresh as it is. And be sure to say hi to the corn mascot or the Lions Club representatives with corn hats.

The corn stand is open throughout the fair during normal fair hours, 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 8 a.m. until 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday; and 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on the final Sunday.
