The holiday season is fast approaching – and so is the Canadian Pacific Railroad's Holiday Train.
The now annual holiday treat – an actual train traversing the Canada and the upper U.S. Midwest covered in glowing lights and festive Christmas decorations – is scheduled to make a stop in Milwaukee on Monday, Dec. 5 at the Intermodal Station, 433 W. St. Paul Ave. The train is expected to arrive at 6:50 p.m., with events – featuring a performance from Canadian blues artist Colin James and country performer Kelly Prescott – running from 7:15 – 7:45 p.m.
The Holiday Train isn't just arriving in town to spread some Christmas spirit; the train – now in its 18th year – works to raise money, food and awareness for local food banks and food shelves, with the crowds coming out encouraged to bring food to donate.
For those who can't hit the Monday night stop, the Holiday Train will also make a stop the next day at the Harwood Avenue Crossing in Wauwatosa from 4:45 until 5:30 p.m. For a complete list of all the train's Wisconsin stops, click here.
