We’re very excited to bring some eclectic glam to our Steinhafels Before and After entry this month. Each month, we highlight a project thanks to this OnMilwaukee Sponsored Content section. It’s a great chance to not only show off our beautiful furniture, but also for us to brag a bit about our awesome Decorating Solutions Interior Designers and Decorators!

This month, we meet one of our newest designers, Brittany Holey. Brittany is based at our fabulous NEW Greenfield store! She has a degree from MATC with experience in both residential and commercial interior design, and in staging homes for realtors. Brittany lives for beauty – both inside and out – and believes it’s all connected. Brittany gravitates toward a chic and timeless style, with a little bit of edge and trends incorporating neutrals with color or accents, as well as mixing textures.

Brittany’s featured project was for a client in Muskego. Brittany recalls, "I enjoyed working with the client, I love how the project depicts her style and personality. She trusted me throughout the whole process which was amazing."

Before

Their goal was to make the most of a space that really only has one layout option. The homeowner wanted to make her living room a space she will love as long as she lives in the home. She needed help completing her space by combining old and new, as well as figuring out how much she should or shouldn’t put on the walls.

Brittany explains, "We achieved the goal by adding function and style. We framed the fireplace windows which added color, and we incorporated some functional seating and glam, which she loved!"

Let’s take a closer look!

After

"My client wanted to embrace color, so we started by picking the rug from Oriental Weavers, which helped tie in all the color in the space. I chose an Omnia leather reclining sofa to add function. As you can see, it is streamlined, so it’s stylish while still being functional. As a whole, my favorite piece is the rug because it clearly defines the space and acts as artwork for the floor. I also love how the window treatments frame the fireplace wall windows – bringing in more of the blue." PHOTO: Sarah Utech.
"The tangerine chair was a piece that the client wanted to keep. It went perfectly in that corner for additional seating. All we had to do was add some trendy glam pillows and a throw." PHOTO: Sarah Utech.
"I chose this 72" City Center console because it is simple and wide enough to take up a large amount of the wall. The client loves mosaic tile, so I found these great mosaic tile plates for the wall. They really make a nice statement, and they take up enough of the wall above the TV." PHOTO: Sarah Utech.
"I actually feel like this piece functions well for the foyer. The client had this old bench, and she was worried it looked too beat up. By placing the throw over it and adding some seasonal pillows, it works out really well." PHOTO: Sarah Utech.
"I placed a basket full of pillows by the fireplace to give off a comfy vibe, plus it’s an aesthetically pleasing way to store your extra blankets and pillows, as well as display some seasonal pillows." PHOTO: Sarah Utech.

The client is raving about her eclectic glam living room. In her online testimonial, she explains, "I love how my Great Room looks thanks to Brittany! This is my first time using a decorator, and I’m glad I did. I have received many compliments on how nice it looks."
