Less than a year into her tenure, Milwaukee Bucks sideline and digital reporter Katie George announced today that's leaving her position with the team, taking on a reporter and anchor role at ESPN's new ACC Network.

George made the "more than bittersweet" announcement Thursday afternoon via a video message over Twitter and the Milwaukee Bucks Facebook page:

Hired just last August, it's sad to see the talented George, a more than welcome addition to the Bucks’ excellent broadcast team, leave Milwaukee's sidelines so soon. But an opportunity to join the ESPN family of networks typically one that shouldn't go passed – and considering George played her impressive college volleyball career in the ACC at Louisville, earning All-American honors as well as the titles of ACC Player and Setter of the Year in 2015, the fit is all too perfect.

It may have just been one year, but considering her lone season with Milwaukee was one of the team's most successful this young century, landing a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals and two wins away from a place in the NBA Finals, at least the Bucks made it a memorable one.

Here's to your new gig, Katie George – and stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for who will take her place on the Fiserv Forum sideline. (A gentle suggestion: Bring back Telly Hughes.)

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
